Sometimes the road changes everything.
Lenard Smith Sr. is offered a position as a loan manager at a large bank in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He travels with his wife, LaShea, and their son, Lenard Jr., toward a new beginning—until their vehicle breaks down and leaves them stranded.
Lenard Jr. prays, recalling a pastor's teaching. A charter bus arrives, carrying that very pastor and the Godly Ways church group home from a spirit-filled revival in Kansas City. The family accepts a ride, but Lenard's confidence in human control clashes with the passengers' faith in God's direction.
As LaShea and their son embrace the music and testimonies, Lenard remains unmoved. He falls asleep and dreams of moments from his own life, now seen through a different spiritual lens.
What begins as an unexpected detour becomes a personal confrontation with hearing, seeing, and believing. Godly Ways follows one man's reluctant journey toward spiritual awareness.
